As a device to teach the signwriting symbols, color coding is
incomparable! Keep it!
I'm suspicioning, though, that for fast reading, by people who know
the signs well, the colors are harder to read, as they require more mental
processing, and thus are slower.
At least when I read them I find my eyes sort of picking out the black
parts... (?)
