The photos below are of Marianne Stumpf, who is a Deaf instructor at the Concordia School and is learning computers at Faculdade de Informatica - ULBRA. She translated the story Kuana to Brazilian Sign Language and wrote it using SignWriting. She started teaching SignWriting to 5th-7th primary degree students at the Concordia School in 1997. The initial reaction has been very favorable. Even Deaf parents manifested interest in learning "how to write signs". Marianne presented her early experiences with teaching SignWriting.
