Ed, from Michigan, explains that he is born-Deaf.
Ed says he
doesn't know SignWriting in depth
but that he became interested and studied
it a little, and over time he started to understand it
Ed then reads SignWriting "out loud" by
signing in ASL what he reads from a section
of the Bible that is written in ASL.
He reads Chapter 3, Verse 16 from the
"Gospel According to John".

American Sign Language (ASL) is one of the most used languages in the United States and English-speaking Canada.
The Center for Sutton Movement Writing is a 501c3 educational non-profit organization that is sponsoring the Written ASL Bible Project.
