Lesson Four: Finger Movements

Squeezing or Flicking Motion
from the Middle and/or End Joints

When the middle or end joints bend down in a squeezing motion, or open in a flicking motion, the movement is written with dots.

Hinge Motion from
the Knuckle-Joint

When the knuckles bend like the hinge of a door, and all other finger joints remain locked without change, the movement is written with tiny general arrows (neither dark nor light).
